Week 3 of Training Camp flew by so fast!! This week God has definitely revealed Himself in countless ways and taught me multiple things this week!! This week, the main thing that God has been teaching me is how to fully abide in His presence. A little backstory is that before I left for the race, I took one of my mom’s Mudlove bracelets that said “abide.” because I wanted to be reminded daily to abide in God’s presence. Looking back on these past three weeks of Training Camp, I have been definitely abiding in God’s presence. However, it was not until revival night on Friday until I experienced what it meant to fully abide in God’s presence. Fully abiding in His presence for me looked like surrendering everything, trusting that God will provide, and depending on Him to get me through the day. After I experienced what it meant to fully abide in God’s presence, I felt a sense of overwhelming peace and freedom that can only come from Him.

Here are some verses and a song about abiding in God:

John 15:4- “ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me” (ESV).

For my waking breath

For my daily bread

I depend on You

I depend on You

For the sun to rise

For my sleep at night

I depend on You

Yes I depend on You

You’re the way the truth and the life

You’re the well that never runs dry

I’m the branch and You are the vine

Draw me close and teach me to abide

Where the Spirit leads

As I’m following

I depend on You

Yes, I depend on You

For the victories

Still in front of me

I depend on You

Yes, I depend on You

You’re the way the truth and the life

You’re the well that will never run dry

I’m the branch and You are the vine

Draw me close and teach me to abide

1 John 4:16- “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him” (ESV).
